These Terms govern your use of ScholarFit and its supporting services, provided by MARIERAKSHI LOUNGMOO, an independent developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”). “ScholarFit” refers to the app and service and is not a separate company. Contact us at support@fitmyscholarship.com. Our Privacy Policy, available at https://fitmyscholarship.com/privacy, explains how we handle personal information.
Please read these Terms before using the service. We will present them for acceptance where required. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or restrict.
1. Who may use ScholarFit
You must be at least 14 years old to use ScholarFit. If you are not legally able to enter into these Terms independently, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to them on your behalf as permitted by applicable law. Any consent legally required for processing a younger user’s personal information must also be obtained; agreement to these Terms alone does not provide that consent.
Provide accurate information about your age and your authority to use the service. We may restrict access if we reasonably believe these requirements are not met.
2. What the service does
ScholarFit helps you discover potentially relevant scholarships, review matching information and available requirements, organize opportunities and application activity, and set available deadline reminders.
Our listings and matching tools are informational. Information may come from scholarship providers and other sources and may change. A displayed award may be closed, incomplete, or subject to additional requirements. Before applying, check the provider’s official eligibility rules, deadline, application instructions, award amount, and any applicable restrictions.
A match score or competition indicator is an estimate, not a verified applicant count, a probability of winning, or a promise of eligibility. Scholarship providers independently decide eligibility and awards. We do not guarantee that you will qualify, receive funding, or find a particular number of available opportunities. ScholarFit is not the scholarship provider and does not award the funds shown in third-party listings.
3. Application activity and authorization
Saving an opportunity, swiping, creating an application record, or sending a request to ScholarFit does not by itself submit an official application to a scholarship provider. A queued or received status confirms only that a record or request has been received by the relevant part of our service. It is not confirmation of submission or acceptance by the provider.
In the current service, follow the provider’s instructions to complete any required external application. Keep the provider’s confirmation for your records. You remain responsible for checking deadlines, completing required steps, and making truthful statements.
If ScholarFit later offers assisted submission, we will separately identify the application, recipient, information to be sent, and authorization needed before submitting. These Terms do not grant blanket authority to submit applications, sign your name, accept provider terms, or make personal certifications on your behalf. Steps requiring your own review, signature, or attestation remain subject to the provider’s requirements.
A status you enter yourself is a tracking record, not independent verification by ScholarFit. Reminders are a convenience and may be affected by notification permissions, device settings, or available deadline information. Check important dates directly with the provider.
4. Your account and information
Use an account you are authorized to use and keep its sign-in credentials secure. Promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize and for using reasonable care with your account; you are not automatically responsible for activity caused by our failure to meet obligations imposed by law.
Keep information used for matching and applications accurate and current. Do not impersonate another person or fabricate academic records, qualifications, income, identity, or supporting documents.
Some onboarding information, including edits, may be synchronized before registration. The Privacy Policy explains this processing and your choices. Optional sensitive information is subject to applicable consent requirements, independently of these Terms.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of personal statements, profile information, and other content you provide. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to store, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate the features you use, provide support, protect the service, and fulfill applicable legal obligations, consistent with the Privacy Policy and your authorizations.
This permission does not transfer ownership to us, allow us to sell your personal statement, or authorize unrelated advertising use. Sending information to a scholarship provider requires the applicable action or authorization described above. The current service does not use your content to train a general-purpose generative AI model.
Only provide content you have the right to use. Do not include unnecessary information about other people. Imported files currently remain on your device, although document availability metadata and profile text may be synchronized as explained in the Privacy Policy. Keep your own copies of important materials.
6. Free initial version
The initial version of ScholarFit is free to download and use. It does not offer in-app purchases, paid subscriptions, or a paid trial, and it does not automatically charge you for using the service. Your internet or mobile service provider may charge its usual connectivity fees.
Free availability of this version is not a promise that all future versions or new features will remain free. We may introduce paid features or plans later, but any price, included access, and billing conditions will be disclosed before purchase. You will not be enrolled in a paid plan or charged without your affirmative purchase authorization. Acceptance of these Terms does not authorize future charges.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use ScholarFit to commit fraud, submit false applications, infringe rights, harass people, distribute harmful content, or violate applicable law. Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service security, introduce malicious software, or use automated requests in a way that disrupts the service or bypasses access controls.
These restrictions do not prevent activities that applicable law expressly permits, legitimate accessibility use, or good-faith reporting of a security issue. Contact support before testing that could affect other users or service availability.
We may investigate misuse and take proportionate measures, including restricting an affected feature or suspending an account. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve a mistake. Immediate restrictions may be necessary for a serious security threat, fraud, or a legal requirement. You may contact support to ask us to review a restriction.
8. Our content and third-party services
ScholarFit’s software, branding, and original service content are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store license terms, you may use the service for your own scholarship search and application management. No ownership of our intellectual property is transferred to you. Rights in third-party scholarship materials remain with their owners.
Links to scholarship providers and other external services do not mean that we control or endorse everything they provide. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when you use them. We are responsible for our own service and legal obligations; third parties are responsible for theirs.
These are service terms. They do not purport to replace the software license that applies to your App Store download. Apple is not the operator of ScholarFit’s scholarship service. Contact us for service support, and Apple for matters it handles through the App Store. Applicable Apple platform terms remain in effect.
9. Service changes and ending use
We may improve or change features, correct errors, or temporarily interrupt service for maintenance or security. As an independently operated free service, ScholarFit does not promise a fixed support response time, continuous availability, or indefinite maintenance of every feature. We may change or discontinue the free service. Where reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice of a material discontinuation and an opportunity to retrieve available account information, subject to applicable law and urgent security or legal requirements.
You may stop using the service at any time. Use the account deletion process or contact us if you also want server-side information removed. Local reset or uninstall alone may not remove server records. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.
Provisions needed to resolve existing disputes, protect intellectual property, and address lawful retention continue only to the extent appropriate and permitted by law.
10. Responsibility and limitations
We will provide the service with the care required by applicable law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free third-party information, or a successful scholarship outcome. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without additional implied guarantees beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent applicable law permits, neither party is responsible to the other for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when these Terms were accepted. This does not exclude responsibility for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be excluded, death or personal injury caused by negligence where protected by law, or any other non-excludable obligation.
Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections or rights arising from unlawful handling of personal information. We do not require you to indemnify us for our own misconduct. The extent of responsibility in a particular dispute remains subject to applicable law.
11. Questions, disputes, and governing law
Please contact support@fitmyscholarship.com with a concern so we can try to resolve it. Contacting us first does not prevent you from seeking urgent relief, contacting a regulator, or exercising a legal right within an applicable time limit.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, subject to any mandatory protections and choice-of-law rules that apply to you as a consumer. Subject to those protections, the courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms. Nothing in these Terms takes away a right you have under applicable law to bring a claim in a competent court where you live. These Terms do not impose mandatory individual arbitration or a contractual class-action waiver.
12. Updates and contact
We may update these Terms and will identify their effective date. We will provide notice of material changes and seek acceptance when required. Changes will not retroactively remove rights that have already arisen.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision once does not waive it for the future. Any transfer of our obligations must preserve protections required by applicable law.
